Döhle Seafront (Manila) President Atty. Iris V. Baguilat is a seasoned lawyer who has held executive roles in various organizations in the Philippine maritime sector. Her proactive and transformative leadership has made Döhle Seafront a well-known local and international crewing agency.

She consults for government agencies on the Philippines shipping laws, advocates for Filipino seafarers’ welfare, and works with private and government sectors to secure jobs at sea for Filipinos, addressing sector challenges.

Externally, she is the Chairperson of the Association of Licensed Manning Agencies (ALMA) Maritime Group consisting of 74 licensed Philippine manning agencies deploying over 150,000 Filipino seafarers. She also serves as a Member of the Board or Trustee of the Maritime Law Association of the Philippines. Her key reform initiative focuses on improving the seafarer claims environment in the Philippines, which has led to legal reforms through the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers.

She ranked among All About Shipping (allaboutshipping.co.uk)’s Top 100 Women in Shipping in 2021. She is an active member of WISTA Singapore.
